This document explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use the NGCEats mobile application (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our Platform.

1. Information We Collect

We collect specific types of information to provide and improve our services to you:

• Personal Identification Data: When you register, we collect your Full Name, Mobile Number, Email Address, Date of Birth, and Gender.
• Location Data (GPS): We collect precise or approximate location data from your mobile device to show you nearby restaurants and enable accurate food delivery by our riders.
• Device & Technical Information: For security and fraud prevention, we automatically collect your IP address, device model, operating system version, and network information.
• Transaction & Financial Data: We maintain a record of your order history, Wallet balance, NGC Coins, applied Offers/Coupons, Tips given to riders, and voluntary NGO Donations. We do not store your credit/debit card numbers or UPI PINs. All payments are processed securely via Razorpay.

2. Strict No-Media Access Policy

Your privacy is our priority. NGCEats explicitly DOES NOT request or require access to your device's Camera or Photo Gallery. To set up a profile picture, we have provided 6 highly customized pre-designed avatars within the app. You can choose any of these avatars without compromising your device's local media privacy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect strictly for operational purposes, including:

• To process your food orders, facilitate delivery, and process secure payments.
• To manage your NGCEats account, Wallet, and loyalty rewards (NGC Coins).
• To provide personalized Offers and Coupons based on your order history and preferences.
• To process voluntary Tips for delivery partners and forward Charitable Donations to our partnered NGOs (e.g., Feeding India).
• To identify and prevent fraudulent activities, fake orders, or unauthorized access (using your IP Address and Device Model).
• To send order updates, OTPs via Firebase Authentication, and customer support messages.

4. Data Sharing and Your Privacy Controls (Zero Advertising Sales)

We take the security of your data very seriously. We strictly DO NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third-party advertising companies or marketing agencies.

We only share your information with operational partners on a "need-to-know" basis, governed by your privacy settings:

• "Hide Phone Number" Feature: We empower you with a privacy toggle in your profile settings. If you enable the "Hide Phone Number" feature, our Restaurant Partners will ONLY receive your First Name and Order Details. Your mobile number will be completely hidden from the restaurant's system.
• Delivery Partners: Your name, delivery GPS location, and contact number are shared with the assigned delivery rider solely to ensure successful drop-off.
• NGOs (Charitable Donations): If you choose to donate to a cause via our app, we only transfer the financial funds to the respective NGO. Your personal identity, name, and contact details are NEVER shared with the NGO.
• Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government regulation.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The NGCEats app and website use basic cookies and similar tracking technologies solely to improve user experience. These are used to keep you logged in, remember your cart items, and understand general app usage trends. We do not use intrusive cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Account Deletion and Data Retention

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and personal data. You can exercise this right directly through the "Settings" menu inside the NGCEats app. Once a deletion request is verified, we will erase your personal data, retaining only transactional records legally required for tax and auditing purposes.
